Draft document issued on foreign bank capital rules, paper says

The China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) said on Monday that it has proposed to set the minimum registered capital requirement for foreign banks or sino-foreign banks in China at 1 billion yuan (US$163.38 million), the Securities Times reported Monday. The banking watchdog is soliciting public opinion on the related draft policies until October 30, the report said.
