Australia’s exports to China hit new high in Aug, Xinhua says

Australia’s exports to China rose 11 percent in August from a month earlier to a monthly record of A$8.7 billion (US$8.16 billion), Xinhua news agency reported Wednesday, citing data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Imports from China in the month rose 11.2 percent, staying at a high level. Australia’s overall exports were up 3 percent in August from a month earlier at A$27.1 billion, while imports grew one percent to A$27.9 billion, the report said.
