More S Koreans choose China for education, WSJ says

The number of South Koreans enrolled in Chinese universities more than tripled to 62,855 last year from 18,267 in 2003, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing data from Seoul’s education ministry. That’s 26 percent of all South Koreans registered at foreign universities, trailing only the United States, which attracted 31 percent of the total, according to the newspaper. Korean employers are increasingly looking for graduates with experience in China, including Chinese language skills, the report said.
