SJM sees no impact from China’s new tourism law, paper says

Ambrose So Shu-fai, chief executive of SJM Holdings Ltd. (00880.HK), said the mainland’s new tourism law appears to have no impact on Macau’s gaming sector as the number of mainland customers in the territory is still growing, Macao Daily News reported Friday. On the government’s ban on foreigners working as casino dealers, So said the government should keep its labor policy flexible and remain keen on developments in the market. He also urged the government to give operators more time to improve the air quality in casinos to meet requirements, the report said.
