The Tianjin government plans to ban as many as 233,000 “yellow label” cars from the city center by the end of next year and force them off the road by the end of 2015, Xinhua reported Thursday. Yellow-label cars are those that do not meeting National III petrol emission standards. By the end of 2017, some 6,000 new-energy public transport vehicles will be in use and 16 power charging stations operational. New-energy vehicles will account for up to 60 percent of new public transport vehicles every year, the report said.
