Foxconn plans mobile phone plants in Indonesia, CNA says

Taiwan’s Foxconn Technology Group will launch a five-year plan next year to expand in Indonesia, Central News Agency (CNA) reported Monday, citing chairman Terry Guo. The plan, which includes setting up small and medium-sized mobile phone assembly plants, was postponed last year due to taxation issues and illegal importation of low-quality mobile phones, the report said. Indonesia offers great opportunities for the group because of its rich natural resources and improved government efficiency, the report quoted Guo as saying.
