China Mobile’s 4G fees could be lower than 3G plans, paper says

China Mobile Ltd. (00941.HK) is already working on tariff plans for its 4G mobile services, although the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has yet to issue operating licenses to carriers, the Economic Information Daily reported Thursday. The telecommunication giant’s 4G plans will offer users more data usage and the average tariff will be lower than its 3G plans, company sources were quoted as saying. The 4G plans will start from 138 yuan (US$22.54) a month with 600MB of data and 500 minutes of air time, to 238 yuan a month with 1GB of data and 1,000 minutes of air time, the report said.
