Sa Sa International Holdings Ltd. (00178.HK) said same-store sales growth (SSSG) for its shops in Hong Kong and Macau during the National Day “Golden Week” holiday was only 6 percent, lower than the double-digit figure widely expected by the market, the Hong Kong Economic Journal reported Thursday. Meanwhile, Bonjour Holdings Ltd. (00653.HK) said SSSG for Oct. 1 to 7 was 10 percent, while retail sales grew 6 percent from a year earlier. The Golden Week effect appears to have lost its luster for cosmetics chains, unnamed analysts were quoted as saying. Last year, Sasa recorded a 12.4 percent SSSG during the National Day holiday, the report said.
