Hebei cities ban coal with high sulphur content, paper says

Two cities in the northern Hebei province have banned the use of coal types with high sulphur content, the National Business Daily reported Friday. Shijiazhuang, Hebei’s capital, has banned the storage, sale and use of coal types containing more than 0.8 percent sulphur, in the city and its suburbs, and 1 percent for neighboring counties. Tangshan, an industrial city in the province, has set the floor at 0.6 percent and will slap fines on violators, the report said.
