CNPC sees 13% rise in natural gas supply in winter, Xinhua says

China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) forecasts that supply of natural gas between this winter and next spring will be 57 billion cubic meters, up 13.1 percent from a year earlier, the official Xinhua news agency reported Monday, citing a statement from the company. Supply to Beijing is likely to grow by 3 percent, while supply to the Bohai Rim, Yangtze River Delta, Chongqing and Sichuan province will increase by more than 5 percent. The company has undertaken measures to ensure that its four major natural gas oilfields will operate at full capacity during the period, the report said.
