Taiwan’s HIWIN Tech to invest NT$1 bln in Suzhou, paper says

HIWIN Technologies Corp., a Taiwan-based maker of motion control products, plans to invest more than NT$1 billion (US$34.04 million) in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, to set up centers for logistics, research and development and precision manufacturing, Commercial Times reported Tuesday, citing chairman Eric Chou. The investment is expected to cover more than 33,000 square meters and production begin by the end of next year, Chou was quoted as saying. He also said the company to acquire a foreign company next year to help its European business, the report said.
