Li deems CPI under control, Xinhua says

Premier Li Keqiang {李克強} underscored China’s capacity to keep the country’s consumer price index to around 3.5 percent this year, Xinhua reported Tuesday. On a state visit to Vietnam, Li said the 3.1 percent CPI for September as announced by the National Bureau of Statistics Tuesday was within a controllable range, despite being 0.5 percentage point higher than August’s figure. The premier also stressed that the central government is determined to carry out economic reform, the report said.
