Beijing eases price curbs on new housing projects, paper says

Beijing’s housing bureau has relaxed pre-sale price restrictions on new residential projects in the capital city, the 21st Century Business Herald reported Thursday, citing an unnamed developer. The limit on presale price increases between different batches of apartments in the same project was loosened, the report said. The policy applies only to new projects, while rules for existing residential projects remain unchanged, it added. This came after the inventory of new homes in Beijing reached nearly 60,000 in mid-October, easing the supply-demand imbalance in the city’s housing market, the report said.
