754 firms in mainland IPO queue, paper says

The list of mainland firms awaiting approval for an initial public offering has grown to 754 since the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) shut the doors to IPOs in October last year, the Securities Times reported Monday, citing CSRC data. During the year, 278 firms withdrew their IPO applications, of which 137 were for listing on the growth enterprise market. A CSRC spokesman said the regulator will not start approving IPOs until policies on reforms were decided and published, the report said.
