Urban residents lag rural dwellers in leisure time, paper says

Residents of China’s urban areas do not get enough leisure time and have less time off than people in rural areas and the United States and Europe, China National Radio reported Wednesday, citing the China Tourism Academy. The academy surveyed people in 10 large cities and found that these residents had an average of 4.2 hours of leisure time per day, compared to 4.4 hours for their rural counterparts, the report said. People in London averaged 5.2 hours of down time a day, the report said.
