Conditions for the launch of live hog futures in China are deemed as not yet mature, the China Securities Journal reported Friday, citing the China Securities Regulatory Commission. The absence of a national standard for the products, low industrialization level in the sector as well as latent epidemic risks have hindered the launch of such product, the paper said. The CSRC will approve the trade of live hog futures only when proper conditions are in place. It fears that any hasty move will increase the price fluctuations and affect the spot market, the report said.
