The Walt Disney Company is planning to establish a flagship retail store in Shanghai, which will be the company’s biggest in the world, China Business News reported Monday, citing a company announcement. The shop, to be located in the Lujiazui financial district, will have a floor area of 5,000 square meters. It is expected to open in early 2015. Disney is currently selling its products in China via agents. Annual sales are now at around US$2 billion. The Shanghai Disney Resort, the second Disneyland theme park in China, is scheduled to open in December 2015.
