At least three Chinese airlines received bomb threats on Thursday after five people were arrested on suspected links to Monday’s deadly car crash in Tiananmen Square, Bloomberg News reported on Friday. At least one person suspected of calling in the threats was detained, police said. Beijing Capital Airlines diverted one flight and China Southern Airlines Co. Ltd.’s (01055.HK, 600029.CN) unit Xiamen Airlines Co. Ltd. and Sichuan Airlines Co. Ltd. each delayed a flight, officials from the companies were quoted as saying. China Southern also diverted a flight, a media official said but declined to cite reasons. The threats happened after police called the Tiananmen incident, in which five people were killed, a terrorist attack, the report said.
