China, Japan, S Korea to hold senior-level talks, Yonhap says

Officials from China, Japan and South Korea will meet in Seoul on Thursday to hold the eighth round of senior-level talks on various issues, including a possible three-way cooperation plan, Yonhap news agency reported Tuesday, citing a statement from South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The meeting is the first of its kind since Park Geun-hye took over as South Korea’s president this year. Chinese vice foreign minister Liu Zhenmin, Japanese deputy foreign minister Shinsuke Sugiyama and South Korean deputy foreign minister for political affairs Lee Kyung-soo will attend the meeting, the report said.
