China Mobile Ltd. (00941.HK) said it will launch four 4G handset models in Beijing on Wednesday, Securities Times reported Tuesday. These include the Sony M35T and Samsung N7108D. The TD-LTE-compatible handsets can be ordered from 10 China Mobile outlets, the report said. Users will be able to keep their existing mobile numbers but they will have to switch from a conventional SIM card to an ultra SIM card. The government is expected to issue 4G licenses by the end of November or mid-December, industry sources were quoted as saying.
