China-North Korea trade hits US$46.9 bln, agency says

Trade between China and North Korea came to US$46.9 billion in the nine months to September, up US$200 million from the same period last year, Yonhap news agency reported Wednesday, citing an unnamed source. North Korea’s exports to China rose 9.4 percent to US$2.09 billion while imports from China fell 2.3 percent to US$2.6 billion, the report said. China exported 415,000 tons of crude oil to North Korea, an increase of 13,000 tons from a year earlier.
