China to issue 10 bln yuan sovereign bonds in HK, Xinhua says

China will issue a second tranche of yuan-denominated sovereign bonds worth 10 billion yuan (US$1.63 billion) in Hong Kong on Nov. 21, the official Xinhua news agency reported Tuesday, citing a statement from the Ministry of Finance. The issue includes 3 billion yuan of two-year bonds exclusively for Hong Kong residents, using the Hong Kong stock exchange to sell the securities for the first time. The ministry sold 13 billion yuan of sovereign bonds in June, the report said.
