China has added 10 people to the ranks of the super rich this year, bringing the total to 157, second only to the United States, China News Service reported Wednesday, citing an annual study by wealth intelligence firm Wealth-X and UBS A.G. The study defines super rich as individuals with personal net assets worth at least US$1 billion. Their combined wealth has grown 1.1 percent to US$384 billion from a year earlier. Most of the super rich are engaged in the industrial and real estate businesses, with 89 percent being self-made. Hong Kong landed the No. 7 spot in the study, the report said.
