German firm sees 20% growth in China filtration biz, paper says

Germany’s Freudenberg Group expects its filtration business to continue to grow by more than 20 percent annually in China as the nation strives to improve its air quality, Shanghai Daily reported Thursday. The company, which provides air filters for vehicles, homes and workplaces, has achieved 25 percent annual growth in its Filtration Technologies division in China over the past years, Hua Li, the division’s general manager, was quoted as saying. Freudenberg launched a 36 million yuan (US$5.9 million) plant in Chengdu this year to produce automobile filters to meet rising demand from automakers.
