CDB issues 4.5 bln yuan RMB bonds in Hong Kong, Xinhua says

China Development Bank said on Thursday that it has issued 4.5 billion yuan (US$738.72 million) worth of yuan-denominated bonds in Hong Kong, more than the 3 billion yuan it earlier planned, the official Xinhua news agency reported Thursday. The bonds, which include three tranches due in two, five and 15 years, were subscribed 1.22 times. The bank’s vice governor Zhang Xuguang said the successful issue reflected overseas investors’ optimism toward China’s long-term economic performance, the report said.
