Shanghai FTZ given three years to undertake reforms, paper says

The State Council is said to have given the Shanghai Free Trade Zone a period of three years to implement 72 reforms and establish a system that could be replicated outside the zone to contribute to the growth of the entire economy, the Shanghai Securities News reported Friday, citing Shanghai vice mayor and zone management director Ai Baojun {艾寶俊}. Ai voiced confidence that the reforms can be implemented and the system ready in less than three years as long as it is tested and the risks are manageable, the report said.
