Hyundai Motor Group (China) Ltd. has started the recall of 1,547 imported Rohens cars due to problems with the hydraulic electronic control unit (HECU), Xinhua news agency reported on Monday, citing China’s quality watchdog. The affected units were produced between April 8, 2008 and March 16, 2012. The chemical reaction in the HECU of the defective vehicles has affected the proper working of the plunger piston, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in an online statement. Hyundai will offer free checks and replace the defective parts in the recalled cars, the report said.
