Office rental demand in Beijing weak still in 3Q, report says

Office rental demand in Beijing from international professional services and financial firms remained weak in the third quarter due to global and domestic economic uncertainties, China Daily reported Monday, citing real estate services company Jones Lang LaSalle. Landlords are keen to lock in tenants to lift occupancy rates as many leases expire over the next few months, the report said. Overall, rents fell 0.2 percent quarter-on-quarter but low vacancy rates across Beijing mean landlords still have some bargaining power.
