Farm produce prices in 36 major cities in China edged down in the week ending Nov. 10 compared with the previous week, Xinhua news agency reported on Tuesday, citing a statement from the Ministry of Commerce. The average wholesale price of 18 kinds of vegetables declined 1.2 percent from a week earlier with the prices of celery and cabbage dropping 8.8 percent and 8.4 percent respectively. The average wholesale price of aquatic products dropped 0.7 percent while that of eggs shrank 0.4 percent. The cost of pork slipped 0.3 percent, while beef and mutton prices went up 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent respectively, the report said.
