China’s textile and apparel exports were US$24.09 billion during October, up 6 percent year on year, China News Service reported Tuesday, citing the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textile and Apparel. Textile exports rose 6.4 percent to US$8.57 billion while apparel exports grew 6 percent to US$15.52 billion. Growth in such exports fell 3.7 percentage points in the first half amid stiffer trade barriers, unnamed analysts were quoted as saying. Chinese exporters face increased barriers in the environmental technology and product safety sectors, the report said.
