ICBC sells 2 bln yuan bonds in London, report says

Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd. (ICBC) (01398.HK, 601398.CN), the country’s largest lender, has issued 2 billion yuan (US$326 million) worth of bonds in London, Xinhua news agency reported on Wednesday. The sale includes 1.3 billion yuan of three-year bonds and 700 million yuan of five-year bonds with the coupon rate at 3.35 percent and 3.75 percent respectively, according to the bank’s statement. The funds will be used to expand the bank’s renminbi lending overseas, the report said.
