Japan economic delegation set to visit Beijing, website says

A huge delegation from Japan will visit Beijing on Nov. 18 to 24 in a bid to strengthen bilateral economic relations hurt by a territorial dispute, news website China.com.cn reported Thursday, citing a report from Kyodo news agency. Speaking at a ceremony ahead of the visit, Fujio Cho, chairman of the Japan-China Economic Association, stressed the importance of boosting economic exchanges between two countries that have frictions. Meanwhile, foreign ministry spokesman Qin Gang said at a regular press conference on Thursday that the government is making arrangements to host the 100-strong delegation, the report said.
