T-mall denies high return rate on Singles Day sales, report says

T-mall, the online shopping platform operated by e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holdings Ltd., has denied rumors that it saw a high return rate of the goods it sold on Nov. 11, Singles Day, news portal Caijing.com reported Thursday. According to data from industry research website ChinaIRN.com, about 25 percent of the packages that T-mall delivered to customers on the day have been returned for various reasons. T-mall said about 20 million packages of the record 152 million orders had been delivered to buyers as of Wednesday midnight, the report said.
