China’s information and communications technology market is expected to grow to US$10.8 billion by the end of the year, driven by the government’s smart city development program, news portal Yicai.com reported Monday, citing an analyst from International Data Corp. The market will grow 15 percent a year in the next five years, the analyst was quoted as saying. Presently, 90 percent of 193 cities in the smart city project have set detailed targets, the report said, citing a senior official from the national housing authority.
