Home prices rise in most Chinese cities in October, NBS says

Sixty-nine of the 70 monitored cities across China recorded home price increases in October, with Wenzhou, in Zhejiang province, as the only exception, according to data posted on the National Bureau of Statistics’ (NBS) website on Monday. Shanghai led the uptrend with a 21.4 percent year-on-year growth, while Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen also recorded increases of more than 20 percent, the data showed. Home prices in Wenzhou declined for the 26th consecutive month.
