Japan delegation pushes trilateral trade pact, Kyodo says

A Japanese delegation is calling for increased efforts to establish a trilateral free trade agreement among Tokyo, Beijing and Seoul, Kyodo news agency reported Monday, citing Fujio Cho, chairman of the Japan-China Economic Association. In a meeting with Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng, the delegation urged closer Sino-Japanese economic cooperation and increased protection for intellectual property rights. The week-long visit will help improve political relations between the two countries, Gao was quoted as saying.
