L’Oreal Group aims to transform its Tianmei plant in Yichang, Hubei province, into the largest makeup production center in the Asia-Pacific region after two years of extensive renovations and upgrades, China Daily reported on Monday. Costing more than 200 million yuan (US$32.8 million), the wholly owned plant’s production capacity now exceeds 250 million pieces a year, according to a company statement. L’Oreal’s revenue reached 12.05 billion yuan in China, maintaining a double-digit growth for a 12th consecutive year, the report said.
