Italian luxury sports-car maker Maserati SpA plans to enhance supply of spare parts in Asia, in a move aimed at boosting its after-sales service image among China’s super-rich consumers, Wall Street Journal reported Monday. “We are looking at ways to make our parts supply more robust and faster than it has ever been in the past,” Christian Gobber, managing director of Maserati Greater China, was quoted as saying. As Maserati increases its car sales in the market, customers will expect service levels more in line with leading German car makers in the high-end luxury segment, the executive said. Strengthening the distribution function will allow spare parts to reach the market faster, Gobber said as his firm prepares for commercial launch of the Ghibli model at the Guangzhou auto show, which starts Thursday.
