China’s home appliance exports are expected to grow in the next year, driven by demand from Southeast Asia and recovery in the United States and Europe, China Business News reported Wednesday, citing Shi Yonghong, vice director of the China Chamber of Commerce of Machinery and Electronic Products. Home appliance exports rose 7.8 percent during the first nine months from a year ago. Exports of telecommunications equipment climbed 30 percent, helped by smartphone sales, the report said. Smartphone shipments are expected to maintain their momentum in the next two years, an analyst was quoted as saying.
