China, US pledge to boost cooperation, exchanges, paper says

China and the United States have reaffirmed the importance of deepening practical cooperation and enhancing people-to-people exchanges in ensuring a better future for Sino-US ties, China Daily reported Thursday. Visiting Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong and US Vice President Joe Biden discussed a wide range of bilateral, regional and global issues. Biden is scheduled to visit Beijing in early December, the report said. Liu is in the US to co-chair a fourth round of talks on bilateral consultations and people exchanges with US Secretary of State John Kerry.
