1.52 million fight for 19,000 central government jobs, CNS says

As many as 1.52 million people took the written examinations for central government positions on Sunday, with some vacancies attracting up to 7,192 applicants, the China News Service reported. Some 130-plus central government units and their direct subsidiaries were looking to fill about 19,000 vacancies, the first time the number dipped in three years. The number of vacancies was 15,300 in 2010, 17,900 in 2011 and 20,000 in 2012, the report said.
