China 2013 GDP growth seen at 7.8%, paper says

Renmin University of China’s School of Economics has projected gross domestic product (GDP) growth of 7.8 percent for China for this year, the China Securities Journal reported Sunday, citing Liu Yuanchun, a professor and associate dean at the school. Consumer price index growth for the year is seen at 2.7 percent. The academic body expects the economy to consolidate next year, with GDP growth estimated at 7.7 percent and inflation at 3.2 percent, the report said.
