Huawei hires foreign executives in global push, WSJ says

Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. is recruiting more Western executives and rolling out a long-term incentive program to attract foreign workers as part of its efforts to remake itself into a global brand, the Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday. The Shenzhen-based company generates two thirds of its revenue outside China and is now the world’s second-largest supplier of telecommunications network equipment, closing in on industry leader Ericsson, according to the newspaper. However, its senior executives are predominantly Chinese and only about a quarter of its 150,000 workforce are non-Chinese nationals, the report said.
