Cities with rapid home-price rises getting flagged, paper says

Land authorities in China are flagging the cities that have recorded large home-price increases this year in order to pave way for potential new housing policy curbs, the 21st Century Business Herald reported late Monday, citing people with knowledge of the matter. Beijing, Shanghai and Xiamen are among the cities that have already found a place on the list, it said. Local land officials have been asked to identify sites that could see record high prices in land auctions next year and take steps to rein in the market, the report said.
