China, France vow to reset economic ties, Xinhua says

China and France signed an agreement to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion as part of the first high-level economic and financial dialogue between the two countries, Xinhua reported Tuesday. In a meeting co-chaired by Vice Premier Ma Kai and French Finance Minister Pierre Moscovici in Beijing, China and France pledged to pursue a new type of sustainable economic and financial partnership, the report said. Ma called for better macro-economic policy coordination within the G20 framework and continued cooperation in traditional areas such as nuclear energy and aviation, the report said.
