Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj said Thursday his country would like to develop long-term cooperation with neighboring countries, including China, that would result in a win-win situation for all concerned. Speaking at a trade event in Hong Kong, Elbegdorj said China’s growing demand for commodities and Mongolia’s rich deposits of mineral resources would enable both countries to enhance their bilateral relations. He also said his country welcomes foreign investment, particularly from enterprises with good technology and business culture. Meanwhile, Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd. (02888.HK) chief executive Benjamin Hung said trade between Hong Kong and Mongolia is still at an infant stage, but Hong Kong as an international financial center can help the Mongolian companies tap institutional investors.
