Sinopec keen for Canada LNG export terminal, paper says

China Petrochemical Corp, the country’s largest refiner, is looking to build a liquefied natural gas export terminal in British Columbia on Canada’s west coast, China Daily reported Thursday, citing the province’s premier. Premier Christy Clark said Sinopec is seriously pursuing investment for one or more projects in British Columbia, the report said. Sinopec owns significant natural gas holdings in two of Canada’s most prominent shale-gas fields that could feed into Pacific Coast LNG plants, it said.
