Toyota China November new car sales up 40.7%, Kyodo says

Toyota Motor Corp. said it sold 89,800 new cars in China in November, up 40.7 percent from a year earlier, Kyodo news agency reported Monday. The increase was partly due to a low comparison base in the same month last year when sales were hit by Sino-Japanese tensions over a territorial dispute. In the first 11 months, Toyota’s new car sales in China were 809,000 units, up 7.9 percent year on year, the report said.
