British Prime Minister David Cameron and Li Shufu, chairman of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. Ltd., discussed the iconic London taxi and its prospects, the official Xinhua news agency reported Tuesday. Among the topics during the Shanghai meeting was production of the vehicle in China and Britain. Cameron said Geely’s 80 million pound (US$131.1 million) investment in research and development in the London Taxi Co. will help create 500 local jobs. Geely is the new owner of the company, the report said.
