China open to IPR talks, Xinhua says

China has an open mind about discussions on intellectual property rights (IPR) issues with other countries, the official Xinhua news agency reported Thursday. The government attaches great importance to IPR protection and supports a stronger international regulatory regime, Chen Fuli, the IPR commissioner at the Chinese embassy in Washington, was quoted as saying. He was speaking at a China-US IPR workshop in Washington, the third such event held by the Chinese government overseas.
